Tahoe Mountain Tapas Personal Chef & Catering Service has been cooking up a storm, all around the Lake Tahoe Basin this summer! From family gatherings to corporate retreats and small weddings, we have been busy filling bellies with the seasons freshest, most delectable ingredients. Below is one of our favorite flavors of the summer so far...Humboldt Fog Goats Milk Cheese (from Cypress Grove Creamery) topped with Raw Local Honey and Lavendar. This has been an absolute hit amongst our Charcuterie and Cheese Platters. Spread over a Rosemary Pecan Crisp and accompanied by a tantalizing slice of Prosciutto, one cannot go wrong.

My Mother tells stories of me as a young child, turning heads in the produce department as I exclaimed, "Mommy, can we get Brussels Sprouts!!!" I'm sure some may have thought it was too good to be true...a child that begs for Brussels Sprouts. I have always had a genuinue passion for vegetables, especially these little bundles of joy. I have toyed with roasting them in bacon fat, lathering them in maple syrup, tossing them with crisp Pancetta bits. Not until recently however, had I tried a simple drizzle of wild, raw honey after roasting them with a smidge of olive oil, a dusting of Pink Himalayan and a Trifecta of freshly cracked peppercorns.
Clean. Simple. Perfection.
You can find these beauties paired with my Roasted Pork Tenderloin with Apple Onion Jam & Smoked Gouda Polenta for a warm, winter meal that will be sure to fuel your next day on the hill!

We are so delighted to have participated in this year's Soroptomist Food and Wine Event here in South Lake Tahoe. With over 1000 attendees, we were happy to see some local faces and meet some new ones as well. The event was a great place to get a little exposure and network with potential catering and personal chef clients. Tahoe Mountain Tapas served up a Pumpkin Pecan Sage Hash on a Plantain Chip, taking full advantage of the flavors of fall. We are already looking forward to participating in next years event!
